These are nice! I've seen that 1st photo in one other community I'm in.I can't remember where else I've see it.But I have seen that one before.I can't remb.the photographer either. It kind of shocked me when I saw for the first time. The girl sitting down is funny. Such a contrast of subject matters.
The first photo is shot by Mary Ellen Mark, I just saw a page of her website today. There are some photographs and stories about them—all very lovely. The story about Pinky has got to be my favourite. I'm sorry about the links-spam but I had to share. Do drop by her website if you are interested!
That first image has always reminded me of my childhood. I've had it in my profile for quite awhile now. The coffee and cigarette reminds me of a few people that live on the combination so I saved it. Thanks for the post.
the first photographs is actually one of my least favorites because it was taken after sally man's photo of her daughter jesse with a candy cigarette. you should look up her stuff i think you'd really like it
I don't think Mary Ellen Mark—who took the first photograph—intentionally copied Sally Mann. While the theme may be similar, the cigarette held by Amanda in Mary Ellen Mark's photograph was real—and the young female was smoking it. Perhaps you might be interested to read about Mary Ellen's photograph? :)
I don't think this is a rip-off whatsoever. I am a photographer and I ADORE Mary Ellen Mark. She's one of my personal favorites. A good bit of appreciating her work is knowing the story behind it, as she was ridiculously talented at capturing the essence of her subjects.
The second picture is by laura burtton and the third one by this person http://www.flickr.com/photos/tampics/ but I cant find who did the clouds instalation, sorry :(

It's not a rip-off.
It's what it is.
And, I think it's beautiful.
