the Lisbon Girl's Bedrooms

I'm sure if there's something that gets name-dropped the most in this community, it's Sofia Coppola and the girls in her films.
But, ignoring that, the clothes, the music, and all of the other wonderful things in her films, I decided to focus on the sets, and in particular, the bedrooms of the five Lisbon sisters in The Virgin Suicides.

To me, it is so utterly feminine, teenage, girly. The collections of knick-knacks, the posters plastering the walls, the various textures. Ever since I saw the film almost 10 years ago (wow, it's been that long!) I became obsessed with collecting vintage perfume bottles, animal figurines, paper lanterns, half-melted candles, and Catholic memorabilia.

And so, here's my little ode to those dirty, war-zone esque, but still ever-so-lovely Lisbon girl bedrooms.

EDIT: None of these photos are mine, they're all stills from the Virgin Suicides, just in case anyone was confused . . .
