where have all the flowers gone

i realize this is quite a long shot and i doubt much people will even see it, but anyway —

since a lot of people seem to have left lj, where have you gone to? do you blog someplace else? post your links & some info about what you blog about if you do!

i'm at attempt #628503 or thereabout of running a public personal blog, and so far i've been mostly posting photos of my worn outfits, thrift finds, and a bit of photos from trips i've made. i don't really want to niche my blog just yet, but it definitely seems to be mostly focused on style and babbling about how conceited i feel about blogging about style, haha.

I had the exact same thoughts just a few weeks ago. I routinely check my lj friends page every few days, but posts are dwindling more and more.
These days I'm on Tumblr a whole heap, but it doesn't have the feel of a community that Livejournal had. I felt like people were sharing intimate parts of their life with me and that everything was under a web of comfort and security that is unique to Livejournal. I still haven't found a replacement for it, but I wish I didn't have to replace Lj to begin with.

The closest active thing that I've found to Livejournal is Blogspot, which is a hella lot more open but is better than text posts on Tumblr. I post about general daily life stuff; music and gigs, travelling, clothes, food/recipes and the like.

Oh that's okay! Each title is a permalink, so you have to click it to be able to comment within each separate entry.

Yes, I do! It's going to seem so cheap and simplistic, but I use Paint.NET. It's really easy to use, and i find it much more user friendly than GIMP (and I'm way too poor for photoshop.) Don't let the somewhat dodgy website fool you, it's ace.

it's rare that i even log in here anymore & mostly only do so to ensure things are as i left them nearly two years ago.. but that's not a "livejournal thing". i honestly never thought i'd leave this place; something very personal led me away, & it's the same reason i ended up where i did. i'm on tumblr now; http://pearlsforyoureyes.tumblr.com/

I think everyone's gone to tumblr and blogger. I must admit I disappeared from here for a while too but i missed this place too much and I'm going to come back and use livejournal. Better community atmosphere!
