all the soarings of my mind begin in my blood.






a little about me:
i'm almost twenty years old and i've seen a million rising suns, but never have i settled. i moved to new york three days after my high school graduation - lived there for eighteen months and then moved back 'home'. to virginia. the most boring place in the world but the mountains are beautiful, atleast the mountains are beautiful. in my spare time(which isn't very often) i find myself smoking copious amounts of illicit drugs, watching 90's films on television, spending time with my husband, and trying to make sense out of the meaning of life. i read a lot of magazines, know a lot of random facts, and use a lot of run-on sentences. i don't know where i'm going or where i'd like to be but i'm not complaining about the life i live now. i'm content. yes i'd like to have a better selection in my closet, more money to blow on useless items, and a better-paying job but i'm slowly realizing that material things just don't make a person. i'm trying to better myself spiritually, and i find myself in a pretty odd place right now. i'm a compulsive apologizer. i drink a lot of tea. my hair is natural red and i've been through at least ten stages of hating it and being a rebel by dying it black. by the way - i'm back to red. i enjoy conversations. if you feel like you can challenge my mind i'm ready to converse. i feel like the world has everything to offer me and the human race is the most impressive thing i've ever witnessed in my life. the idea that one can breathe and exist, live and roam freely. i hope you don't hate me too much.

i've tried to do an intro many times and they keep getting rejected =/ im not sure if they just hate me or what ;) the first one i did the html just didnt work =/ non of the pictures came up, even though it was all typed correctly. so maybe thats what keeps happening. i dunno.
but i like reading everyone elses so i guess its ok! xx

Hello, I think I'm at that same point in life as you. I'm going to be quitting my well-paying corporate 9 to 5 job for the summer to figure a couple things out, and actually enjoy life. I really only took this job for the money, but this is the place where I learned money wasn't everything, and buying that nice handbag doesn't mean anything when your life is shitty.

exactly. i mean, it's nice to have style and grace and be able to afford things, ie that miu miu bag that i would DIE for. but i know that i don't need to slave away in a corporate setting doing something i hate. whenever the day comes where i have money laying around and can afford it, i'll purchase it. i keep my eyes on things i want, but i know that i can't sacrifice my sanity and my time. i just hate capitalism really. that's all.

i sound very judgmental and i'm not meaning to. i enjoy things and i enjoy material items, but i'm trying to learn that i don't need them to survive. if i can afford them, great. but i don't need to solely focus on trying to be able to have them to better myself. only i can better my life. the laws of attraction are my basic rules i live by. you should read 'seth speaks' by jane roberts, and maybe that handbag will magically appear :)

I live in the mountains of Virginia too. At first I hated it but now I have come to love it for its quirky aesthetic, slow pace, and simple easy and kind people.
My town has a lot of nice bars with great music and art that make it easy to escape too when I get bored of laying in my hammock drawing and watching my neighbor's 30 cats haha.

where in VA?
I'm currently in Fairfax, a haven to golf-playing federal govt workers, and it can be so plainly ugly that it's inspiring. And at least there are a lot of trees? But living near the mountains must be amazing.
Anyways, you're gorgeous and your interest in smokable substances, 90's movies, tea and red hair tells me yr pretty cool.

crazy hamptons life, beaches, books, music, a little bit of everything. i like the big city and i like the hustle and movement but i'm just not able to live there currently due to financial issues. one day i'll go back. not to the city, but to long island. oh god i miss long island.

there are quite a bit of adventures to tell, you should look at my journal :)

Lovely introduction! The first two words that struck me about are: free spirit. Perhaps because I'm pretty much a restless soul when it comes to life or at least that's my impression after years spent as a jack of all trades...and a master of none? lol, I'm working on it. Writing and photography are my loves right now, so I definitely felt drawn to your post by the photograph you posted before the lj-cut.

Like others here, I'd like to friend you, if that's alright. Right now I just got back from a little road trip in the desert; I know it probably reads more mystical than it is in actuality.
